Promotion Policy Page (Fields)
The following describes the fields that appear on the two tabs for this page.
The Definition Tab
The Definition tab has two sections. The top section is where the initial policy definition occurs. The bottom section has two tabs for further defining the promotion policy.
Field
Description
Name
The name of the promotion policy.
Description
The description of the promotion policy.
Promotion Folder
The associated promotion folder of the promotion policy.
Currency
The currency associated with the promotion policy.
Last Simulation Status
The completion status of the last simulation run.
Simulation Status
The simulation status: Running, Completed, or Failed
Simulation Last Run By
The user who last ran the policy.
Created By
The user who created the policy.
Updated By
The user who modified the policy.
The Dataset tab allows a promotion dataset to be assigned to the promotion policy.
The Price Setting Rules tab allows pricing rules to be assigned to the promotion policy.
The Results Tab
The Results tab displays the results of running a simulation.
Absolute Margin Change
The change in margin.
Absolute Margin Change = New Margin - Current Margin
Absolute Margin Change %
The change in margin as a percentage.
Absolute Margin % Change = [(New Margin - Current Margin) / Current Margin] * 100
Absolute Profit Change
The change in expected gross profit.
Absolute Profit Change = New Profit - Current Profit
Absolute Profit Change %
The change in expected gross profit as a percentage.
Absolute Profit Change % = [(New Profit - Current Profit) / Current Profit] x 100
Absolute Revenue Change
The change in expected revenue.
Absolute Revenue Change = New Revenue - Current Revenue
Absolute Revenue Change %
The change in expected revenue as a percentage.
Absolute Revenue Change % = [(New Revenue - Current Revenue) / Current Revenue)] x 100
Current Custom Cost (1-5)
Custom fields for cost. Represents the current costs for the part.
Current Custom Price (1-20)
Custom fields for price.
Current Damaged Cost
Typically indicates cost for the part if it is broken.
Current Damaged Price
Typically indicates the price for the part if it is broken. This can also be used for price stream values by mapping a price stream to this field.
Current Expedite Cost
Typically indicates the cost for the part if it is expedited for delivery.
Current Expedite Price
Typically indicates the price for the part if it is expedited for delivery. This can also be used for price stream values by mapping a price stream to this field.
Current Margin %
((Current Standard Price - Current Standard Cost) / Current Standard Price) * 100
Current Profit
Current profit amount for the selected SKU.
Current Profit = (Current Price - Current Cost) * Current Volume, aggregated for all the price streams
Current Refurbished Cost
Typically indicates cost for the part if it is remanufactured or repaired.
Current Refurbished Price
Typically indicates price for the part if it is remanufactured or repaired. This can also be used for price stream values by mapping a price stream to this field.
Current Revenue
Current revenue amount for the selected SKU.
Current Revenue = Current Price * Current Volume, aggregated for all the price streams
Current Standard Cost
The current standard cost for the part at the location.
Current Supplier Cost
Typically indicates supplier cost for the part.
Current Volume
Current annual volume for the SKU, which is the sum of the last 12 months demand.
Current Volume Cost
Typically indicates cost for the part if it is purchased in a quantity above a set limit.
Current Volume Price
Typically indicates price for the part if it is purchased in a quantity above a set limit. This can also be used for price stream values by mapping a price stream to this field.
Custom Numeric (1-3)
Custom fields storing numeric values.

Custom String (1-5)
Custom fields storing string values.

Effective Custom Cost (1-5)
Effective custom cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Custom Price (1-20)
Effective custom price for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Damaged Cost
Effective damaged cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Damaged Price
Effective damaged price for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Expedite Cost
Effective expedite cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Expedite Price
Effective expedite price for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Margin Change
The difference in the New Margin and the effective margin.
Effective Margin Change %
The percentage difference in the New Margin and the effective margin.
Effective Margin %

Effective Profit

Effective Profit Change
The difference in the New Profit value and the effective profit value.
Effective Profit Change %
The percentage difference in the New Price and the effective profit value.
Effective Refurbished Cost
Effective refurbished cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Refurbished Price
Effective refurbished price for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Revenue
Effective revenue amount for the selected SKU.
Effective Revenue = Effective Price * Current Volume, aggregated for all the price streams
Effective Revenue Change
The difference in the New Revenue value and the effective revenue value.
Effective Revenue Change %
The percentage difference in the New Revenue value and the effective revenue value.
Effective Standard Cost
The Standard Cost value as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Standard Price
The Standard Price value as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Supplier Cost
Effective supplier cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Volume
The target volume for the selected SKU.
Effective Volume Cost
Effective volume cost for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Effective Volume Price
Effective volume price for the selected SKU as of the promotion effective date.
Location Name
The name of the location.
New Custom Price (1-20)
Price stream value fields for the SKU.
New Damaged Price
The new damaged price for the selected SKU.
New Expedite Price
The new expedite price for the selected SKU.
New Margin %
New Margin % for the selected SKU.

New Price Override By
The ID of the planner that entered the new price override.
New Price Override Date
The date of the last new price override.
New Profit
New profit amount for the selected SKU.
(New Price - Effective Cost) * New Volume
New Refurbished Price
The new refurbished price for the selected SKU.
New Revenue
New revenue amount for the selected SKU.
New Price * New Volume, aggregated for all price streams
New Standard Price
The new recommended standard price for the selected SKU.
New Volume
The Target volume for the selected SKU.
New Volume Price
The new recommended volume price of the part.
Part Name
The name of the part.
Part Number
The number of the part.
Promotion Effective Date
The date at which the promotion is effective.
Promotion End Date
The date at which the promotion ends.
Promotion Name
The name assigned to the promotion.
Recommended New Price
Recommended new price for the part at the location as suggested by the promotion.
Results Applied By
If the promotion policy results have been applied, this field displays the name of the user that applied the results.
Results Applied Date
If the promotion policy results have been applied, this field displays the name of the user that applied the results.
Target Custom Price (1–20)
The target custom price.
Target Damaged Price
The target price if the part is damaged.
Target Expedite Price
The target price if the part is expedited.
Target Margin
(Target Profit / Target Revenue) * 100
Target Margin Difference
Projected Margin - Target Margin
Target Margin Progress %
(Projected Margin / Target Margin) * 100
Target Profit
The sum of target profit of all the pairs in the policy..
Target Profit Difference
Projected Profit - Target Profit
Target Profit Progress %
(Projected Profit / Target Profit) * 100
Target Refurbished Price
The target price if the part is refurbished.
Target Revenue
Sum of target revenue of all the pairs for all the policies under the selected promotion folder.
Target Revenue Difference
Projected Revenue - Target Revenue
Target Revenue Progress %
(Projected Revenue / Target Revenue) * 100
Target Standard Price
The target price for just the standard part.
Target Volume
The total forecasted volume at the promotional price in the promotion time range.
Target Volume Price
The target price if the part is sold by volume.
