Segmentation
Segmentation is the process of grouping SKUs based on similar attributes. These groupings can be used as a filter for processing, parameters, and user rights security. The criteria definition for Segmentation is managed on the Segments page.
These terms are used frequently when working with Segmentation:

A hierarchical view of the Segment Node relationships on the Segments page.

A folder on the Segment Tree that contains segments. A Segment Node can also have segment coverage rules applied.

A group of SKUs that have attributes in common, such as lead times, geographic areas, forecasting methods, high or low value, and similar attributes. Segments are managed on the Segments page.

The conditions that determine the SKUs that are included in the Segment or Segment Node. The Segment Coverages are defined on the Segments page.
