Segmentation Workflow
Follow these steps to apply
Segmentation.
|
|
The name of a Segment Node does not have to be unique.
|
|
|
A segment name must be unique, and it can only be assigned to one segment node.
|
4. The last step in configuration of
Segments is to run the
Synchronize Database AutoPilot process to update the data to align with the Segmentation definitions.
5. After the Segments are defined, you can use them in the following ways:
1. Assign segments to
parameters. This restricts the SKUs that are associated with a parameter set.
2. Define additional security on the
User Rights Setup page - Segment Folders tab by selecting the segments for which a user can have access. This restricts the SKU that the user can work with in Servigistics. When you have permission granted for a
Segment Node, you can create, edit, and delete
Segments or
Segment Nodes that are within that
Segment Node. You cannot create, edit, or delete a
Segment Node outside of that
Segment Node.
