Network
A set of related locations, defined on the Networks page. Networks allow balancing of excess quantities of On Hand stock to be limited to the selected Locations that are within the Network. Locations outside of the Network are not balanced.
Configuring Multiple Networks
In Supply Planning, geographical regions can be modeled as separate planning networks, where one network replenishes the other. This is useful if customers have several entities that receive parts from each other, but the entities independently planned.
A replenishment source location in a different network than the destination location can be configured to consider recommended replenishment order quantities in its planning computation. This is enabled by setting the OP_OON_COUNTS_RECOMMENDED_ALSO global setting to true.
*
As with replenishment orders within the same network, Order Plan only recognizes location B as a destination for replenishment orders out-of-network if the Procurement Allowed flag is set to No.
If users make changes affecting out-of-network orders, Interactive Plan can be run to recalculate those orders.
