A set of related locations, defined on the
Networks page. Networks allow balancing of excess quantities of On Hand stock to be limited to the selected Locations that are within the Network. Locations outside of the Network are not balanced.
In Supply Planning, geographical regions can be modeled as separate planning networks, where one network replenishes the other. This is useful if customers have several entities that receive parts from each other, but the entities independently planned.
A replenishment source location in a different network than the destination location can be configured to consider recommended replenishment order quantities in its planning computation. This is enabled by setting the OP_OON_COUNTS_RECOMMENDED_ALSO global setting to true.
