Special Price Folders are categories for grouping promotion datasets and promotion policies per business requirements. For example:
• To group by location, create a promotion folder to hold promotion datasets/policies related to the location.
• To group by market, create a promotion folder to hold promotion datasets/policies related to the market.
• To group by product type, create a promotion folder to hold promotion datasets/policies related the product type.

Specific users must be assigned with user permissions to each folder or else the user will be restricted from working with promotion datasets/policies in the promotion folder.

Folder Type
The folder type can be one of the following:
• Promotion, when using the Promotional Pricing feature.
• Customer Group Pricing, when using the Customer Group Pricing feature.

Access to the Promotion and Customer Group Pricing folders is managed at the user level on the Special Price Folders page. The folders that the user has been granted access to will appear in the dropdown list.
