Large pricing departments are required to manage price books (or price lists) as pricing projects. Each price book project can include a very large number of parts that need new prices. The price book project management cycle typically includes a start date, a delivery deadline date and a specific set of financial goals that are to be achieved.
Servigistics' Price Book Project Management feature is a tool that leverages the pricing policy data to track progress towards established goals. It helps measure progress in terms of pricing policy work completion and policy related financial impacts.
Policy Folders are assigned to price book projects and the pricing policies within the folders then belong to the price book project. The price book project, like a report, provides a project management view of the assigned folder's pricing policy data.
