Replenishment Before Balancing
Replenishment Before Balancing is a feature that prioritizes replenishment order creation before balance orders for today, but only when the Inventory Position is at or below ROP. Balancing is attempted only after replenishment orders are created and any remaining need exists.
When using Replenishment Before Balancing, the Order Plan process does the following:
• Attempts to create replenishment orders for today only when the inventory position is at or below ROP.
• Attempts balancing only if the inventory position remains at or below ROP after replenishment orders are created.
• If required, applies Fair Share to replenishment orders before balancing the remaining need.
Key points:
• When using Replenishment Before Balancing, if it is enabled for one SKU in a GAP, the feature applies to all SKUs in that GAP.
• Replenishment Before Balancing and Future Balancing cannot be enabled at the same time.
◦ Selecting No for Enable Receiving Balance disables Replenishment Before Balancing.
◦ Selecting Future balance also for downstream need for Enable Receiving Balance disables Replenishment Before Balancing.
◦ Selecting Balance also for downstream need for Enable Receiving Balance disables Future Balancing.
