Configure My Work Queue
These are the recommended work queue configuration steps when you are using the Supply Planning module. These steps only need to be performed once, as the configuration settings are applied and saved with your user id.
Do the following on the Work Queue page.
1. Make sure the Work Queue is sorted by Priority so that the most important records are listed first.
A part is in a Work Queue only once for the highest priority Review Reason when a single location is selected.
A SKU is in a Work Queue only once for the highest priority Review Reason when all locations are selected.
*
The Part Based checkbox next to Review Reasons should be selected when the Location selection is All.
2. Confirm that the following fields are displayed on the page. If they are not, you can use the configure tool to add the fields to the display:
Field
Description
Priority
The assigned priority. The smaller the number, the higher the priority.
*
Priority of Review Reasons is determined on the Review Subscriptions tab of the User Rights Setup page.
Magnitude
A numeric value that represents the urgency of the item being reviewed.
*
In reference to the Order Plan processing stopped early Review Type (336), this field specifies the number of SKUs affected by this review reason on the following pages:
The Review Board container of the Interactive Planner Worksheet
The Review Board page
Magnitude Value
The monetary value of the stock involved. This information lets planners focus on high value items first. Calculated as Part Cost * Magnitude.
*
In reference to the Order Plan processing stopped early Review Type (336), this field is not relevant on the following pages:
The Review Board container of the Interactive Planner Worksheet
The Review Board page
3. Use the configure tool to create a sort order that is two levels deep for these two fields.
First, sort by Priority in Ascending order
Then, sort by Magnitude in Descending order
4. Validate your review board settings on the Interactive Planner Worksheet.
