SKU Override Settings
Validate that the following settings are configured to effectively use
SKU Overrides:
1. Confirm the values of the following global settings:
Global Setting
|
Purpose
|
|
This is used to restrict access to scenarios, locations, configurable filters and minimum and maximum SKU Overrides.
|
|
This is used to calculate the default setting of the End Date when a SKU override is created.
|
|
This is used to require additional confirmation for values that are larger than this global setting value.
|
2. Confirm that SKU Override security is properly configured.
◦ If you are running the
Gateway in batch mode, the user that submits the job must have access to all SKUs that are being loaded into the IPCSDD_SKU_OVERRIDE table.
◦ If the user does not have access to a SKU on a record, when the Get Host Data AutoPilot process is run, that record is saved as a SKU Override with the following settings:
▪ A Status of Rejected
▪ An Override Note of Rejected during system import - Security check failed
◦ The Planner entered in the HostRecommenderPlannerID field in the IPCSDD_SKU_OVERRIDE table must have access to the SKU on the record. If the Planner does not have access to the SKU on the record, when the Get Host Data AutoPilot process is run, that record is saved as a SKU Override with the following settings:
▪ A Status of Rejected
▪ An Override Note of Rejected during system import - Security check failed
◦ If the Planner entered in the HostRecommenderPlannerID field in the IPCSDD_SKU_OVERRIDE table and there is no matching Planner defined in Servigistics, then the record is saved as a SKU Override with the following settings:
▪ A Status of Rejected
▪ The Planner ID on the SKU Override is set to the user ID of the user that is running the Get Host Data AutoPilot process
▪ An Override Note of Rejected during system import - HostPlannerID was not valid
3. Confirm the proper access was granted to users for SKU Overrides:
◦ Global Access
For each user, select
Allow for the
View, Recommend, and Review All Optimization Results right on the
Admin Setup Rights tab of the
Users page. This grants the user access to SKU Overrides and allows that user to import new SKUs using the
Gateway process.
◦ Segment Access
For each user, set the segment assignments on the
Override Assignment page. This grants the user access to SKU Overrides and running the
Get Host Data AutoPilot process.
|
If a SKU is new and not in the IPCS_PREPROCESSED table, then the Override Assignment security will not find the SKU in any segment and therefore the record will be rejected with an Override Note of Rejected during system import - Security check failed
|
Key Points to Remember
• A default value of 0 for both global settings results in no changes to the behavior of overrides
• Update the global setting value to be greater than 0 to use either End Date limits, Maximum Quantity limits, or both
• There is no validation of the HostReviewerPlannerID on the IPCSDD_SKU_OVERRIDE table
• The user that is running the Gateway process is validated with the entries on the User Templates page
