SKU Constraint Rules
When multiple SKU constraints are defined, the calculation evaluates the constraints in terms of the ROP required to satisfy the constraint.
For example, when these constraints are evaluated against the ROP required to satisfy the constraint:
ā€¢ A constraint of 12 days could convert to 8 units
ā€¢ A constraint of 60% could convert to 20 units
The converted value is referred to as the Evaluation ROP Result, and it is those results that are reviewed for priority. The general rules are as follows:
Rule
Condition
Priority
1
Multiple Minimum constraints are defined
The constraint that has the largest Evaluation ROP Result is given priority
2
Multiple Maximum constraints are defined
The constraint that has the smallest Evaluation ROP Result is given priority
3
Maximum and Minimum constraints are defined
The maximum constraints are evaluated and priority is given based on Rule #2
