History Based Simulator
The History Based Simulator feature generates historical data in Servigistics when the necessary historical data to effectively use Performance Analytics and Intelligence (PAI) is not available. This feature can be used until there is enough production data in Servigistics to load into PAI.
The History Based Simulator page is where you can run the simulation process, evaluate the output, modify the parameters and configuration, and run the simulation process again. For example, you can tune the following parameters and configuration settings:
• Increase or decrease the vendor lead time
• Add or remove locations in the supply chain
• Enable other planning features, such as Schedule Change Suppression (SCS)
• Set the historical start date
• Set a date range, from a beginning date to an end date
• Automate the advancing of the date on a daily basis and running the simulator
• Perform daily execution tasks as part of the simulator run, such as sales order fulfillment, inventory reconciliation and fill rate
