Group of Associated Parts
GAP stands for Group of Associated Parts. GAPs are part-location combinations known as SKUs that need to be order-planned together.
GAPs include all SKUs that have one or more of the following conditions:
They are on the Authorized Stocking Lists (ASLs) or have a positive stock amount record.
They have the Run Order Plan Ordering Parameter set to Yes.
They have a supply record (order plan record).
They have a sales order or sales return.
They may be the Top Most Revision (TMR) in a part chain.
They have replenishment sources of pairs that need to be planned.
They have non-ASL SKUs that only have forecast.
If one of the following global settings is set to true, the non-ASL pairs that have forecast are included in the GAPs:
OP_ROLLUP_NONASL_FCST — Rolls up the field location forecast for non-ASL SKUs.
OP_NONASL_FUTURE_PROCURE — Allows procurement for the forecast of non-ASL SKUs.
The Order Plan GAP is built by the Order Plan Synchronize Database AutoPilot process.
