Group of Associated Parts
GAP stands for Group of Associated Parts. GAPs are part-location combinations known as SKUs that need to be order-planned together.
GAPs include all SKUs that have one or more of the following conditions:
• They are on the Authorized Stocking Lists (ASLs) or have a positive stock amount record.
• They have the Run Order Plan Ordering Parameter set to Yes.
• They have a supply record (order plan record).
• They have a sales order or sales return.
• They may be the Top Most Revision (TMR) in a part chain.
• They have replenishment sources of SKUs that need to be planned.
• They have non-ASL SKUs that only have forecast.
If one of the following global settings is set to true, the non-ASL SKUs that have forecast are included in the GAPs:
The Order Plan GAP is built by the Order Plan Synchronize Database AutoPilot process.
