Authorized Stocking List
Commonly referred to as “ASL” (Authorized Stocking List)
A list of parts and quantities that should be stocked at a location.
When a part is on the ASL, it affects how a part is processed in Servigistics. Demand and forecast for parts not on the ASL is shown on the Demand page, but Servigistics does not calculate optimal levels or make ordering recommendations or critical shortage notifications for non-ASL parts. Servigistics considers any inventory of a non-ASL part to be excess.
In Servigistics, Pareto Analysis is used to determine which parts and how many parts are stocked at locations. Pareto Analysis sorts parts by percentage of total current demand at the location and adds the most demanded parts to the ASL for that location until their cumulative demand equals the Demand Accommodation percentage set in the planning parameter. However, parts can also be manually added to the ASL for a location. Parts can also be removed from the ASL due to ASL pooling at the pooled location, or due to being burned off (where alternates are available) within a part supercession chain.
