Elasticity
A part is considered elastic if a price change causes a substantial change in either its supply or its demand. The Elasticity feature calculates the elastic value of a part based on the price history and demand history of the part. A higher elasticity value indicates that the part is more elastic.
When the elasticity is calculated, a SKU is assigned to one of four possible Elasticity Data Stages:
Elasticity Data Stage | Description |
---|
Data Stage 1 | There is demand data for one valid price point. The price does not necessarily have to have been held constant for the minimum time. |
