ASL Management Recommendations
The ASL Management Recommendation process enables the generation of an Authorized Stocking List (ASL) that suggests what should or should not be on an ASL for a location. When using the ASL Management Recommendation process, the planner can consider the suggestions and can make the final determination regarding what is included on the ASL. This provides more flexibility than the automatic ASL generation that is part of the AutoPilot process.
There are two AutoPilot Parameter settings that determine if ASL Management Recommendations are generated:
Automatically Add to ASLs
Automatically Delete from ASLs
When both of these settings are set to Yes, the AutoPilot process automatically determines the ASL and manual recommendation review is not necessary. However, when one of these settings is set to No, the ASL Management Recommendation process is invoked and recommendations regarding what should or should not go on the ASL are created. This recommendations can be reviewed and managed on the ASL Management page.
