Viewing/Managing KCM Scenario Results
1. Enter K-Curve Methodology in the Go to box to search for the page, then select the page from the resulting list of matches.
2. Ensure that you have run a simulation for the KCM scenario.
3. Click the Detailsbutton () for the KCM scenario. The KCM Scenario Details page appears displaying the results of the simulation run. [view field definitions]
4. To manage the simulation results, you first select the desired point on the exchange curve. After the simulation run, the exchange curve is drawn to the selected order frequency sets and the subsequently calculated K value point range.
Click points on the order frequency set line on the Exchange Curve chart. You can hover over a point to get the inventory value at that point. Notice that when you click different points on the line, the K Value, Average Inventory On Hand, and Total Receipts values in the Details of Point Selected section change.
5. Once you have selected the desired point on the exchange curve, click in the Details of Point Selected section. This saves the values and posts them to the Parameters section.
6. In the Parameters section, click the Generate SetEOQ button (). This generates results to the SKU Details section, which provides insight as to how each SKU will be affected by the new saved values.
7. Review the results in the SKU Details section. If you are NOT satisfied with these values, click the Reject Parameter button () in the Parameters section. Repeat the cycle of selecting new points on the exchange curve to get different results.
8. Do one of the following:
If you are satisfied with the results: Click the Make Scenario Production button () on the toolbar. This promotes the KCM scenario to production so that its results are uploaded to Servigistics Order Plan for tactical planning.
If you are NOT satisfied with the results: Click the Reject Production Scenario button () on the toolbar. This lets you repeat the simulation process. From a tactical planning perspective, rejecting the production scenario removes the results promoted to order planning from K-Curve Management.
9. Click the Return to Previous Screen button () to return to the KCM Scenarios page.
