Creating/Modifying Simple Groups
Simple groups are typically set up through the host system gateway data feed or custom code. However, in the case that a simple group is not set up, you can use the following procedure in Servigistics.
1. Using the Go to box, enter simple groups. The Simple Groups page appears.
2. Do one of the following:
To create a simple group: Click the New button () on the toolbar.
To modify a simple group: Click the Edit button () for the simple group.
The Simple Group page appears.
3. Complete/edit the fields as necessary. [view field definitions]
4. If you are creating a new simple group, click the Save button (. More fields and the Parts tab appears on the page.
5. On the Parts tab, you add or remove parts for the simple group as necessary.
To add parts to the simple group: Click the Find Item button (). The Find Part page appears. Enter search criteria for the part (or parts). Then, click Search. Parts matching the search criteria appear on the page. To select a part, highlight it and click OK (or you can just double-click it).
To remove parts from the simple group: Highlight the parts you want to remove and click the Delete button ().
6. Click on the toolbar.
