Journal (Fields)
These are the fields that can be configured to display on the Journal container. All of these fields are displayed when you create or edit a Journal note.
Field
Description
Created By
The Sign In Name of the user that created the record.
Created Date/Time
The date the record was created.
Incident Date/Time
A date/time that is related to the journal note. For example, if the journal note is about vendor information that is going to be changed, the user can enter the date/time the change will happen in this field.
Location
A physical or virtual place that stocks parts. A location can also be a geographic area where prices are set using the same methodology and currency. Locations are defined on the Locations page.

Set the Location field to blank for journal entry that is applicable to the part for all locations.
Set the Location field to a specific location for a journal entry that is applicable to only that SKU.
Notes
Informational text entered by the user.
Part Number
The unique identifier of the part.

The Part Number is populated with the part number selected on the toolbar of the page. It cannot be modified.
Type
The type of journal note. Valid options are:
Journal Type
Description
General
A manually entered journal note that is not Order Plan or Stocking Level related.
Order Plan
A journal note that is generated by the Order Plan process. Users cannot create journal entries with a Journal Type of Order Plan.
Stocking Levels
A journal note that is related to the stock levels of a SKU.
Alert History
An alert that occurred prior to the current date.
Updated By
The user that made the most recent update to the record.
Updated Date/Time
The date/time that the user made the most recent update to the record.
