Performing a Full Upgrade of Intellicus
Use these instructions to upgrade your version of Intellicus.
1. Perform the following steps to take a backup of your Intellicus installation folder.

The uninstall process retains a few files and folders in Intellicus and does not automatically delete them, they must be manually deleted. Since you are taking a backup of the previous version, you can manually delete these files. It is recommended to create a backup of the Repository Objects (includes any metadata in your previous Intellicus version) using iPackager (by creating CAB), even if you are using the pointing to repository databaseupgrade method. It is also recommended to take a backup of the repository database as well before pointing your old repository database to the new version of Intellicus.

a. Take a full backup of the <INTELLICUS_INSTALL_DIR>.
b. Do one of the following to backup the Intellicus repository database, as this database stores metadata of all the reports, query objects, and other user preference information.

2. Perform the following steps to uninstall the previous version of Intellicus:
For Linux:
c. Delete the Intellicus folder under the <INTELLICUS_INSTALL_DIR> directory
For Windows:
a. From the Start menu, click > > and select Uninstall or change a program.
b. Right-click Intellicus Enterprise Reporting and select Uninstall.
c. Select Remove on the Welcome screen and click Next.
d. Click OK on the Confirm Uninstall screen.

While creating the repository db and report db connection on Intellicus, point to the previous version of the Intellicus Repository Database.

4. Upgrade the version of log4j by performing one of the following procedures:
5. Sign in to Intellicus and validate the following:
a. Users are visible on the > > page. All user details, logins, access rights, privileges and single sign on mapping information should be present.
b. All of the report layouts, along with categories were imported, are visible on the > > .
c. Saved reports and report object such as Query Objects, Parameter Objects, Analytical Objects, and database connectionsare visible on the > > page.
d. All saved schedules are visible on the > >
