A business scenario that generates short term forecasts for New Part Introduction (NPI) where the part does not have any existing demand history, based on machine learning techniques. Machine learning can process many part characteristics (both numerical and textual) to find the similar parts that have existing demand history. Using the demand history of similar parts, an ensemble of machine learning algorithms can generate more accurate and robust forecasts for NPI parts.
