A set of user settings and rights, defined on the User Templates page, that can be applied to multiple users.

For example, assume your company grants all planners the same rights. Instead of editing each planner and assigning rights one-by-one, you can create a user template with the user settings and rights and assign the template to a set of users. Create another user template with different user settings and rights and assign that template to a different set of users. This way, you can assign the rights for a group of users instead of setting the rights for each individual user.

Once a user template is applied to a user, you can make modifications the user rights settings by using template overrides. For example, if a user needed all the rights included in the Planner user template except one, you could assign the Planner user template to the user, edit that user, and override only that one user right.
