State
A defined condition or status that a process, task, or item is in at a specific point in time. It represents a stage within a workflow, indicating progress, readiness, or required action, and often determines what transitions or actions are possible next.

The processing stage of a scenario. Valid states are:
State | Description | ||

Completed | The scenario is not undergoing any processing and is in a usable condition. | ||
Created | The scenario was defined, but has not been calculated. | ||
Failed | The scenario experienced a runtime error and is not in a usable condition. | ||
Needs Recalculation | The scenario was edited in such a way as to render previous results incompatible with current controlling attributes. | ||
Production | The system managed collection of operational SKU values are bundled in the Production scenario. | ||
Running | The scenario is being operated on by a job that may modify the output. | ||
Waiting To Run | A calculation was requested for the scenario. | ||
Waiting To Delete | A deletion of the scenario and the associated output was requested. | ||
Waiting To Apply Overrides | Apply Overrides was requested for the scenario. | ||
Waiting To Make Production | Make Production was requested to promote the scenario, using its values to create the Production scenario. | ||
Promoted To Production | The scenario was used to Make Production and has at least one SKU that serves the Production scenario values.

The processing stage of a SIOP Plan. Valid states are:
State | Description |

Draft | The SIOP Plan was created but is not yet prepared for planning. |
Preparing For Planning | The SIOP Plan is being prepared. The preparation includes: • Creating default Forecast Scenarios • Uploading tables to Snowflake • Building the Business Hierarchy • Aggregating data based on the Business Hierarchy |
Prepare Failed | The Preparing For Planning step failed. |
Planning | The Preparing For Planning completed successfully, the SIOP Plan has been prepared, and overrides can be entered. |
Return To Draft Failed | The attempt to return to the Draft state failed. |
On Hold | The SIOP Plan is temporarily paused or suspended as a result of a user action. During this time, no overrides or State transitions can be made. |
In Production | A Forecast Scenario was placed in production. |
Done | The horizon of the SIOP Plan is in the past. |

The processing stage of a Forecast Scenario. Valid states are:

Planning | Forecast Scenario has been prepared, and overrides can be entered. |
Synchronizing | Synchronizing the forecasts in the business Hierarchy to reflect forecast overrides. |
Synchronization Failed | Synchronization of the forecasts to reflect overrides failed. |
Return To Draft Failed | Attempt to return to the Draft state failed. |
Generating Forecasts | SKU Forecasts are being generated from the Forecast Scenario's values. |
Forecast Generation Failed | Generation of the SKU forecasts for the Forecast Scenario failed. |
Forecasts Generated | SKU Forecasts have been generated for the Forecast Scenario. |
Making Production | SKU Forecasts for the Forecast Scenario are being made the production forecast. |
Make Production Failed | Failure occurred while attempting to make the Forecast Scenario’s SKU forecasts the production forecasts. |
In Production | The Forecast Scenario’s SKU forecasts are in production. |
Copying | Forecast Scenario is being copied to create a new Forecast Scenario. |
Copy Failed | Copying of a Forecast Scenario failed. |
