Pricing Business Rules
A grouping of conditions defined on the
Pricing Business Rules page that act together to ensure that certain business objectives are satisfied during the
price approval process. When Pricing Business Rules are not satisfied, warning or blocking of price action records can be created.
Pricing business rules are grouped within
ruleset folders.
Using Pricing Business Rules in Skipping Rules
Skipping rules provide the ability to set conditions around a pricing business rule so that when the skipping rule is satisfied a price record is approved from one approval level to another approval level by skipping a specified number of approval levels in between. For example, you might define a skipping rule that causes a level skip when absolute margin change is less than or equal to 5% results.
Like pricing business rules, skipping rules are assigned to a price approval workflow when creating or editing the workflow (on the New/Edit Price Approval Workflow page - Assign Skipping Rules tab). The actual number of skipped levels is set when assigning the skipping rule to the workflow.
