Parent Membership
Enables the setting of SKUs at a parent location. Valid options are:
Method
Description
Direct
Only the SKUs that meet the segment criteria are placed in the service group. In this case, parent SKUs that are not in the service group will not participate in service group result aggregation. Parent SKUs that are not in the service groups may impact optimization depending on the service target.
Location based Fill rate (wait time) target
Only the location based fill rate(wait time) targets for SKUs in the service group will be met. Parents SKUs not in the service group will get optimal stocking to support the targets at child locations.
Network Targets
Only the items in service groups will have their stock level optimized.
Availability Targets
This setting is not supported for availability service groups due to the inherent nature of multi-echelon optimization in the algorithm.
Derived - Reporting
Only the SKUs that meet the segment criteria are placed in the service group. In this case, parent SKUs that are not in the service group will participate in total service group result aggregation. Parent SKUs that are not in the service groups may impact optimization depending on the service target.

Derived - Targets and Constraints
The SKUs that meet the segment criteria and parent SKUs are placed in the service group. Therefore, parent SKUs that are not in the service group segment criteria will participate in service group optimization and result aggregation.
