Location Bin
A location bin is a virtual location. Location bins are like sub-locations, where demand streams can be fed into, and the forecast can be created, or rolled up, to the parent location. The location bins can be used to improve forecasting capability, especially in multi-echelon networks.

Bins can be used to represent different customer demand streams.
|
There are two types of location bins:
ā¢ Demand bin, which is a location bin for which forecasting will not run. Its demand gets rolled up to the parent location and the forecast will be generated at the parent location.
ā¢ Forecast bin, which is a location bin for which forecasting is run. The forecast is then rolled up to the parent location.
