This setting enables the Balancing feature. Options include:

This indicates that the balance orders cannot be generated.

Balance only for own need
|
This indicates that the balance orders can be generated but only for the SKU’s need.

Balance also for downstream need

This indicates that the balance orders can be generated for child replenishment need and the SKU’s need.

|
Future Balance also for downstream need
|
This indicates that the Future Balancing feature is enabled and future balance orders are considered by Procurement, Repair, and Replenishment during the Full Ordering Pass step of the Order Plan process. This allows a push repair all and balancing only pass through the Days to Generate Orders to occur first.
When selected, the Allow Chain Transfer in Future Balancing setting is enabled.
