Days To Generate Orders
The number of days, including today, that the system can create orders. This field is defined on the
Ordering Parameters page.
When using Time-Phased ROP
Days to Generate Orders determines the last possible order date, defining how far out the system will generate an order plan. This setting also controls how many periods are displayed on the Inventory Position Summary and Daily Detail IP Report tabs on the Interactive Planner Worksheet.
When using Time-Phased Safety Stock
Days to Generate Orders should not be used, as it can only limit how far in the future orders can be placed. It cannot make it longer than the horizon limit. Use the Horizon of the Ordering Parameter to set how far in the future the order should be available.

Days to Generate Orders should only be used with the Time-Phased ROP Order Policy. The SKU with the largest Days to Generate Orders within the GAP will apply to all SKUs in that GAP. This ensures accurate planning for the procuring location, allowing Procurement Orders to be generated for a year, even if one child location generates replenishment orders for the first week and another for the first month.
