Custom Attribute
A custom, configurable field that is defined on the Custom Attributes page. Custom Attributes can be added to support a unique need for data collection or analysis. For example, if a customer uses a part that is available in three different lengths, the customer might create a custom attribute called Part Length.Custom attributes are available for importing against their respective tables. For example, if you assign a custom attribute to the Part Master table, you can add that attribute to the .csv import file as a column on the table.

Before a custom attribute can be modified or deleted, all Custom Attribute Usage for a custom attribute must be removed.
Custom attributes that have a system generated Attribute Usage, such as Stock Amount, cannot be manually deleted. Attribute Usage records like these are created by the existence of an ABC Class Set. To delete custom attributes that have system generated Attribute Usage, the ABC Class Set must be deleted first, which in turn will delete the custom attribute.
