Already Ordered
The Already Ordered feature examines the future host orders during the Order Plan process. If the host orders cover all of the need, then a new order is not created.
*
The Already Ordered feature does not apply when using the Trigger Point Order Policy.
This feature is controlled by setting the Enable Already Ordered field on the Ordering Parameters page. Valid options are:
No — The feature is disabled (default)
Until Last Host Order — The feature is enabled and considers all host orders
Until Specific Days — The feature is enabled and considers host orders until the specified number of days defined by the Constants (Days) and Lead Time Multiplier values.
For example:
Enable Already Ordered setting is Until Specific Days
Already Ordered Constant Days is 5
Already Ordered Lead Time Multiplier is 2
This will consider host orders up to 5 days past 2 times the lead time before recommending a new order be placed to cover a need.
You can set the limits for the Already Ordered feature by selecting Yes for Considered Already Ordered and setting the limits for the time gate period on the following pages:
Procurement and Repair tabs of the Schedule Change Suppression Parameters page
Schedule Change Suppression tab on the SKU page

Important things to keep in mind if you are going to use the Already Ordered feature:
This feature can add significant complexity to finding the optimal solution, especially in large complex GAPs. The amount of complexity goes up the farther past lead time host orders are considered.
If you routinely have future host orders out to the horizon either as a place holder or soft commitment to a vendor then using the Until Last Host Order setting is not recommended from both a logistic and processing time point of view. Specifying a very limited time to consider future host orders such as 1 lead time + 7 days is reasonable.
This feature only adds a small amount of complexity if host orders are only actual orders already placed to arrive in the near term.
The Order Plan process computes an already ordered date that is one of the following:
The last host order date
Today’s date + Already Ordered Constant Days + (Lead Time * Already Ordered Lead Time Multiplier)
This computed date is not an override lead time date, where the Order Planning process will not create a new order to arrive earlier than that date. The Order Planning process makes no assumptions about what the host order dates imply about the lead times used to create new orders.
The amount of future incoming material the Already Ordered feature is reducing for need on a daily basis is visible on the Already Ordered Amount field of the Daily Balance Detail Report.
