Customize Dashboards
There are two recommended methods you can use to customize any dashboard without modifying the original dashboard:
• Method 1 — Customize a copy of a dashboard
1. Create a copy of the dashboard
2. Make changes to the copied dashboard

There is a limitation with this method. The underlying Analytical Object (AO) and Query Object (QO) are not copied. Therefore, any changes made to the AO and QO can impact the copied dashboard and result in an error if they are not compatible

• Method 2 — Create a new dashboard with a copy of the AO and QO from an existing dashboard
1. To customize the dashboard using a copy of the AO with new measures and dimensions:
a. Create a copy of the AO of an existing dashboard
b. Customize the measures of the copied AO
c. Create a custom dashboard using the copied AO and the QO from the existing dashboard
2. To customize the dashboard using a copy of the QO with new fields:
a. Create a copy of the QO of an existing dashboard
b. Customize the dimensions of the copied QO
c. Design a new AO using the new QO
d. Create a custom dashboard using the newly designed AO and the copied QO
