Customize Dashboards
You can use any of the following methods to customize any dashboard without modifying the original dashboard:
Customize an OLAP Report 
1. Create a folder under comp with usecase name prefixed with the client name.
For example: ClientName_UseCase
2. Create a copy of the Query Object (QO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
3. Create a copy of the Analytical Object (AO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
4. Edit the copy of the AO and replace the QO references with the QO you created in Step 2.
5. Create a copy of the report using Save As. Save the copy in the folder or category that corresponds with the display location in the Analytics menu.
6. Edit the copy of the report and replace the AO references with the AO you created in Step 3.
Customize an OLAP Dashboard 
1. Create a folder under comp with usecase name prefixed with the client name.
For example: ClientName_UseCase
2. Create a copy of the Query Object (QO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
3. Create a copy of the Analytical Object (AO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
4. Edit the copy of the AO and replace the QO references with the QO you created in Step 2.
5. Create a copy of the report using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
6. Edit the copy of the report and replace the AO references with the AO you created in Step 3.
7. Create a new dashboard using the report you created in Step 5. Save the new dashboard in the folder or category that corresponds with the display location in the Analytics menu.
Customize an Ad Hoc Report 
1. Create a folder under comp with usecase name prefixed with the client name.
For example: ClientName_UseCase
2. Create a copy of the Query Object (QO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
3. Create a copy of the Report Object using Save As. Save the copy in the folder or category that corresponds with the display location in the Analytics menu.
4. Edit the copy of the report and replace the data source with QO created in Step 2.
Customize an Ad Hoc Dashboard 
1. Create a folder under comp with usecase name prefixed with the client name.
For example: ClientName_UseCase
2. Create a copy of the Query Object (QO) using Save As. Save the copy in the folder you created in Step 1.
3. Create a copy of the Report Object using Save As. Save the copy in the folder or category that corresponds with the display location in the Analytics menu.
4. Edit the copy of the report and replace the data source with QO created in Step 2.
5. Create a new dashboard using the report you created in Step 3. Save the new dashboard in the folder or category that corresponds with the display location in the Analytics menu.
